Realme Book, the Chinese company's first laptop, is coming later this year. Realme confirmed the laptop and its launch schedule back at the GT 5G launch event, but it did not show what the Realme Book would look like. A new and big leak, however, has now left almost nothing to the imagination. The leaked renders reveal the look of the Realme Book in its entirety. Not just the design, a narrowed-down timeframe for the launch of the Realme Book is also out.
Prolific tipster OnLeaks, in collaboration with GizNext, shared one too many renders of the Realme Book. There is also a 360-degree video of the Realme Book that reveals some more. The Realme Book has an aluminium silver finish all around and the screen seems to have a 4:3 aspect ratio. Now, this design could be useful for several reasons, but the one that can convince customers to go for the laptop is something for Realme to say at the launch. The laptop has an island-style keyboard with the power button sitting separately.
The Realme Book will also have a fingerprint sensor and it is likely to be mounted on the power button. The trackpad on the laptop is quite wide, much like how the latest Apple MacBook models have theirs. There are at least two USB-C ports on the laptop but whether they support Thunderbolt is not clear at the moment. There is a 3.5mm headphone jack and a USB-A port, as well. The laptop has an overall slim profile wherein the width is going to be 16mm, according to leaks.
So far with the looks, the specifications of the Realme Book are also interesting. According to the report, the Realme Book will come with a 14-inch anti-glare 1080p LED panel. It is going to be powered by 11th Gen Intel Core processors. The Core i3 and the Core i5-powered SKUs are possible. The Realme Book will obviously run Windows 10 at launch, but Realme has promised the Windows 11 upgrade as and when it becomes available later this year. You can expect Microsoft Office apps to come preinstalled on the laptop, which may come in different RAM and SSD storage configurations. There is no information on AMD-powered Realme Book variants yet.
The Realme Book price is tipped to be under Rs 40,000, according to the report. This will put the Realme Book in direct competition with Xiaomi's Mi Notebook that arrived in India last year. There are also laptops from brands such as Nokia and Vaio now, which is why the competition is going to be big. The launch may take place sometime in August, which is in line with Realme's timeline, but this is the first rumour around it. We should wait for more reports to come to get a clear idea of the launch timeline of the Realme Book.
