Redmi Pad launched in India with introductory price of Rs 12999, sale begins tomorrow

Redmi Pad has been launched in India. The first tablet from the house of Redmi comes with an introductory price of Rs 12999 for the base 3GB RAM + 64GB storage model. The tablet comes in three variants and all these models will be available for purchase from tomorrow, October 5, on Mi.com, Mi Homes, Flipkart, and all our retail partners. If you wish to get the top-end model (6GB RAM + 128GB storage), it will be exclusively available on Mi.com from 10 am on Oct 5.

With the Redmi Pad, the company is targeting gamers, multitaskers, movie buffs and everyone who consumes a lot of content on the internet. Some of the key features of the Redmi Pad include 90hz screen refresh rate, MediaTek Helio G99 SoC, up to 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage, a 8000mAh battery, 18W fast charging support, and more.

Redmi Pad price in India, availability

The Redmi Pad comes in three variants:

--The base 3GB RAM + 64GB storage model comes at an introductory price of Rs 12999.

--The 4GB RAM + 128GB storage will be initially available at an introductory price of Rs 14999.

--The top-end model of the Redmi Pad comes at an introductory price of Rs 19,999.

The tablet comes in three colours -- Graphite Gray, Moonlight Silver, and Mint Green.

The Redmi tablet will be available from tomorrow on Mi.com, Mi Homes, Flipkart, and all our retail partners. The 6GB + 128 GB (Mint Green) variant will be exclusively available on Mi.com from 10 am starting tomorrow October 5. As a part of the launch offer, the company has partnered with Bank of Baroda to offer additional bank discount of up to 10 per cent exclusively on mi.com from October 5- 9.

Redmi Pad specifications

--Redmi Pad comes packed with a 10.61-inch display with support for 90hz screen refresh rate, for the very first time on a tablet in this price segment. The tablet also comes with support for Widevine L1 certification. It includes an 8-megapixel front camera for video calls.

--The device is powered by MediaTek Helio G99 chipset with support for 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage. There's also expandable storage support up to 1TB. It also comes with features including dual bank WiFi 5 support, Bluetooth 5.3, dual microphones, 3^rd party pen support, and built-in document speaker.

--The tablet runs on MIUI 13 based on Android 12 out of the box. The Redmi Pad offers a range of useful features including -- Split Screen, Floating Windows, Multi-Window support, Reading mode and more. Redmi has confirmed 3 years of security updates, 2 versions of Android and MIUI updates over a span of three years for the tablet. Redmi Pad also comes bundled with 2 months of free YouTube Premium,

--The Redmi Pad is backed by a 8000mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging support. In the box there's 22.5W fast charger. The company claims that the tablet can offer 21+ hours of video playback, 12+ hours of gaming and 8+ days of music playback.
