Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has begun its fresher hiring campaign for the fiscal year 2025, with applications open until April 10 for the TCS National Qualifier Test (TCS NQT), according to the details revealed on the official career website of the company. Here is everything we know.

The company says that TCS NQT simplifies the recruitment process for Prime, Digital, and Ninja roles within TCS, streamlining the assessment process into a single test. This integrated approach aims to efficiently identify suitable candidates among the graduating batch of 2024.

Candidates eligible for the TCS NQT include those holding degrees in Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.), Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.), Master of Technology (M.Tech.), Master of Engineering (M.E.), Master of Computer Applications (M.C.A.), or Master of Science (M.Sc. / M.S.). One can simply head to TCS NextStep Portal to apply and people will find the link for it on the career page of TCS.

As of now, there is no information on how many seats are available for freshers. Last year, it was reported that up to 40,000 vacancies were available. As the company is recruiting for three distinct categories: Ninja, Digital, and Prime in its fresher hiring drive, Money Control claims to have the details on the expected package each category could offer.

Candidates selected under the Ninja category can reportedly expect a package of Rs 3.36 lakhs per annum across various roles. Those placed in the Digital and Prime categories stand to receive more attractive packages, with salaries reportedly ranging from Rs 7 lakh to Rs 9-11.5 lakh per annum, respectively.

Besides, just a month back, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) revealed its intention to increase its workforce, countering speculation about potential downsizing. TCS chief executive officer K Krithivasan talked about the company's goal of hiring in 2024 at a recent NASSCOM session, asserting that there are no plans to curtail recruitment efforts.

Krithivasan in his talk addressed concerns about hiring trends. He said, "As we are already seeing some green-shoots in the economy, we need more people for more work." He affirmed TCS's commitment to its hiring agenda, indicating that while adjustments may be made in the hiring process, there will be no reduction in recruitment initiatives.
