Xiaomi may launch Mi Notebook Pro 14 and Mi Notebook Ultra 15.6 in India in July

Xiaomi is set to expand its laptop portfolio in India with the launch of new Mi Notebooks within this month. The electronics maker can launch at least two new laptops in India this year. One of these can be a 14-inch machine while the other may come with a larger 15.6-inch screen size. The new Xiaomi laptops are tipped to be Mi Notebook Pro 14 and Mi Notebook Ultra 15.6, according to a new report by 91Mobiles.

Even though there is no official word around the launch, the report suggests that the laptops can be rebranded versions of the Mi Notebook Pro 14 and Mi Notebook Pro X, both of which were launched in China earlier this year. Xiaomi had launched the Mi Notebook 14 last year and the Mi Notebook 14 Pro is expected to be an upgraded version of the same laptop. It may come with better hardware.

The China variant of the Mi Notebook 14 Pro features a 14-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 2,560 x 1,600 pixels. It has a 120Hz refresh rate, peak brightness of 600 nits and is covered by Corning Gorilla Glass. The laptop packs 11th-generation Intel Tiger Lake processors with a choice between Core i7-11370H and a Core i5-11300H. The users can also choose from up to 16GB of 3,200MHz DDR4 RAM and 512GB of solid-state storage via an NVMe SSD.

Xiaomi claims that you can get up to 12 hours of usage out of the laptop's 56Wh battery. The laptop also has Thunderbolt 4.0 port and comes with a USB-C to HDMI adaptor inside the box. The price of this laptop starts at CNY 5,299 (around Rs 60,000) in China. It will be interesting to see if the Indian variant gets some changes or not.

Meanwhile, the Mi Notebook Ultra 15.6 is tipped to be a rebranded Mi Notebook Pro X. The latter is expected to feature a 15.6-inch 3.5K OLED panel which runs at 60Hz refresh rate. The laptop comes with Intel Core i7-11370H and Core i5-11300H processors, coupled with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 Ti.

The users can choose from up to 32GB of RAM and 1TB of solid-state storage on this machine. The laptop comes with a Thunderbolt 4.0 port, a USB Type-C port, an HDMI port, two USB Type-A ports and a 3.5mm combo audio jack.

Mi Notebook Pro X price starts at CNY 8,499 (around Rs 97,900) in China.
