Consumption & Policy Continuity To Be Govt’s Focus In The Upcoming Budget

Ashwani Mahajan, National Co-convener of the Swadeshi Jagaran Manch, shared with Business Today Television the key agenda issues for the next government. The government is expected to continue focusing on four groups: women, rural communities, youth, and farmers, to maintain policy continuity and fiscal consolidation. The economists meeting also discussed the social reforms that the government will emphasize, aligning with its commitment to fiscal prudence. When asked if the government is considering a change in the fiscal deficit target, Mahajan stated that continuity should be maintained. The current fiscal target is estimated at 5.1% for FY25.
