Reliance Industries' (RIL) eastern offshore
KG-D6 gas fields may see gas output falling to 27 million standard cubic metres per day (mscmd) in 2012-13, an oil ministry official said on Tuesday.
"They (RIL) have informed the Director General Hydrocarbons (DGH) that
gas production will dip from about 35.4 mscmd currently to about 27 mscmd by April," the official told reporters.
Mukesh Ambani-led RIL had in December 2011 reported that output from its eastern offshore gas fields had dropped to a fresh all-time low of 39.80 mscmd.
