The benchmark Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) Sensex rose over 100 points on Thursday. The 30-share sensitive index closed at 27,705.35, up by 141.92 points or 0.51 per cent.
On similar lines, National Stock Exchange (NSE) index Nifty closed 0.56 per cent higher at 8,421.80.

- Nestle India: Hit by ban on Maggi instant noodles, FMCG major Nestle India on Wednesday reported a net loss of Rs 64.40 crore on standalone basis for the second quarter ended on June 30, 2015. Shares of the company closed at Rs 6301.05, up 2.50 per cent on Thursday.
- Kotak Mahindra Bank: The fourth largest private sector bank by market capitalisation is expected to announce its quarterly results today. Shares of the bank closed at Rs 716.15 apiece, down by 1.36 per cent on BSE on Thursday.
- Vedanta: The firm announced its quarterly result on Wednesday in which it reported 131 per cent rise in its consolidated net profit at Rs 866 crore. Shares of the mining and energy group closed at Rs 129.85 per share, down by 0.57 per cent on Thursday.
- Dabur India: FMCG firm Dabur India on Wednesday reported a 23.86 per cent rise in consolidated net profit to Rs 261.11 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2015-16, mainly on account of robust sales. Shares of the company closed at Rs 292.15 a piece, up by 0.59 per cent on Thursday.
