Apple on Monday said that the demand for its iPhone 5 smartphone has exceeded the initial supply. Apple iPhone 5 attracted over 2 million orders in 24 hours which is more than twice the amount of iPhone 4S preorders.
Apple said that most of the preorders for
iPhone 5 would be delivered on Friday but some deliveries could be made in October due to strong demand.
Apple iPhone 5 would be available at its 356 US stores starting this Friday. It would be available in more than 22 countries on September 28.
The iPhone 5 sells for $199 for the 16 gigabyte model, $299 for the 32 GB or $399 for the 64 GB model.
