Reflecting
slowdown in the Indian economy , the Gross Domestic Product growth slipped to mere 5.3 per cent in the fourth quarter of the financial year as against compared to 9.2 per cent in the same period in 2010-11.
The GDP growth rate for FY12 was sharply down at 6.5 per cent as against 8.4 per cent in previous fiscal. This is the lowest growth since March 2003.
