Airports Authority of India (AAI) has made it clear that it would not allow
Kingfisher Airlines to fly again before the grounded carrier pays its dues of about Rs 400 crore.
Kingfisher had on Wednesday submitted a revival plan to the aviation regulator DGCA and reports say that the cash-strapped airline has sought requested the airports body to allow it to fly on a cash-and-carry basis, under which the carrier pays for the services as and when it avails them.
Kingfisher owes over Rs 390 crore, including penal interests, to the Airports Authority of India.
However, AAI Chairman V P Aggarwal said Kingfisher would have to clear its dues first before its request could be considered.
On Friday, Kingfisher shares fell 3.4 per cent to end at 7.61.
