Kingfisher Airlines on Monday said it has registered an operating profit of Rs 140 crore in the fiscal year 2010-11.
"Several cost reduction initiatives and growing maturity of international routes were the major contributors to the improvement," the company said in a statement.
It said, however, that net loss as a percentage of total revenue reduced from 31.3 per cent to 15.8 per cent in FY'11.
The statement did not give the net profit/loss figure. It did not give the Q4 figures either.
It said that the EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation) margin for the year was 2.2 per cent.
Kingfisher Airline's total revenue for FY'11 was Rs 6,496 crore, an increase of 23 per cent over FY'10.
"Besides the improvement in operating performance, this was a result of the debt recast which was completed in December 2010," said in a late night statement.
For the fiscal year 2011, EBITDAR was Rs 1,124 crore compared to Rs 404 crore in FY10.
