Tata Motors has reported
a 13.81 per cent fall in its group global wholesales in July, at 87,566 units from a sale of 101,605 units in the corresponding period of last year.
The group's global
commercial vehicle wholesales, which includes brands like Tata, Tata Daewoo and the Tata Hispano Carrocera range, declined by 14.42 per cent in the month under review to 40,882 units from 47,776 units.
Global passenger vehicle wholesales of the group fell by 13.27 per cent at 46,684 units from 53,829 units sold in July 2012. Global wholesales of Tata passenger vehicles fell 57.18 per cent at 11,522 units from a sale of 26,908 units.
However, according to the
company Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) saw a 30.61 per cent increase in sales in the month under review, which stood at 35,162 units from 26,921 units sold in July 2012.
Jaguar sales for last month grew by 77 per cent at 7,174 units from 4,064 units sold in the corresponding month of last year. Land Rover sales were 22 per cent higher at 27,988 units from 22,857 units sold in July, last year.
JLR's cumulative sales grew by 33.05 per cent for the financial year at 125,782 units from a sale of 94,535 units.
