LG to make Google's Nexus 5 phone: Reports

LG has been selected by Google to build the next Nexus smartphone - Nexus 5 - the Korea Times reported. Motorola was widely tipped to make the next Nexus smartphone, after it was bought by Google.

Google's Nexus 4 smartphone is made in partnership with LG.

According to the report, LG and Google are also cooperating in other projects as well. The report said that LG is involved in Google Glass project and the two companies also plan to launch an OLED TV.

Nexus devices are considered flagship products by the Android community in that they present the operating system in its purest form - without third party apps, customized interfaces or features installed by network operators - installed on a handset with the best possible hardware specifications to support it.
