A US trade panel has launched a probe after Motorola Mobility LLC alleged that its
patents were infringed by Apple Inc .
The products at issue are certain Apple iPhones, iPods, iPads, and personal computers, Xinhua quoted the US International Trade Commission (USITC) as saying.
Motorola Mobility and two of its overseas subsidiaries
filed a complaint last month with USITC , claiming some Apple products infringed on their patents.
USITC said it had identified
Apple Inc of California as the respondent in this probe, adding that it will schedule and hold an evidentiary hearing.
The trade agency is scheduled to set a date for completing the probe within 45 days. If the complaint is approved, it will ban importation of those products.
