WPG launches Intel-powered NuPC in India

The company claims NuPC, which measures 4x4 inches (117x112mm and 35mm thick), to be a fully-functional PC that can fit in one's palm.

WPG Holdings announced its partnership with Intel and Microsoft to launch an ultra-compact PC-NuPC-in the Indian market. NuPC is powered by Intel Core i3 processor/Intel Celeron processor and runs on Windows 8.1 operating system.

The company claims NuPC, which measures 4x4 inches (117x112mm and 35mm thick), to be a fully-functional PC that can fit in one's palm. The user needs to pair it with a display and WPG Holdings has tied up with LG for the same. Focused towards the B2B segment, it is designed to be used in retail and other businesses.

The NuPC will be available in various configurations. The base model features Intel Celeron processor with 2GB of RAM, 500 GB storage, 1 USB 3.0 and 2 USB 2.0 for Rs 18,999. The one with 4GB RAM and 1 TB storage is available for Rs 21,999.

The Intel Core i3 processor configuration with 2GB RAM and 500GB hard disk has been priced at Rs 29,999 and the one with 4GB RAM and 1 TB storage for Rs 32,999. The latter comes with two USB 3.0 connectors on the front panel, two USB 3.0 connectors on the rear and two USB 2.0 ports.
