
Redmi India has introduced its new budget smartphone, Redmi 10 in India. The smartphone comes only a week after the company introduced the Redmi Note 11 Pro series. The new Redmi 10 sits under the existing Note 11 series and provides an affordable option for customers. The phone follows the same Evol design as the Redmi Note 11 and Note 10 series. It will be available in three colour options - Pacific Blue, Midnight Black and Caribbean Green.
Redmi 10 comes in two storage configurations. The 4GB RAM and 64GB storage option is priced at Rs 10,999 while the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant costs you Rs 12,999. Both the variants will be available with Rs 1,000 discount using HDFC Bank credit cards and EMI transactions. The phone will go on sale starting March 24, 12 noon via Mi.com, Flipkart and offline retail stores.
The Redmi 10 features a 6.7-inch IPS LCD display. The phone doesn't support high refresh rate but, comes with a Widevine L1 certification for content streaming. The phone is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass. The Redmi 10 packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 SoC which was recently used the Note 11. The chipset is based on 6nm architecture and has a total of 8 cores. It comes with Adreno 610 GPU for gaming.
The phone supports UFS 2.2 storage and will be available with up to 8GB of RAM. The phone supports 2GB of virtual RAM as well. Redmi has packed a 6000mAh battery on the phone which supports 18W of fast charging.
The Redmi 10 will have a dual rear camera system consisting of a 50-megapixel main camera and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. Redmi is giving plenty of option in the camera app, including a HDR mode. The front has a 5-megapixel main camera.
The phone will run MIUI 13 out of the box based on Android 11. The phone has a rear mounted fingerprint sensor and features a 3.5mm headphone jack.
